According to a report in the Financial Times, Apple is in discussions with some large music companies about a deal that would give customers free access to the entire iTunes library. Customers would pay a premium for iPods and iPhones to get the unlimted service.
The "all you can eat" model seems to follow Nokia’s "comes with music" deal that they made with Universal Music last year.
The Financial Times says the sticking point is how much Apple will pay the record labels for the access.

According to recent patent filings it looks like Apple is looking past its current candy bar iPhone design to a future that may include an iPhone flip design. UnwiredView seems to suggest that this new design could even be the iPhone nano. That is pure speculation at this point but it sure would be nice to have a smaller version of the iPhone.

In another sad turn of events for the standard brick and mortar stores, Sharper Image has filed for Bankruptcy protection. After several years of declining sales they are finally packing it in.
The company says it "intends to continue to conduct business as usual while it devotes renewed efforts to resolve its operational and liquidity problems and develops a reorganization plan."

According to a recent report on 9to5mac, Apple is planning to drop the prices of the iPhone and iPod Touch by $100 within the next 2 months. The move is reportedly intended to clear out inventory and make way for a new 3G iPhone.
9to5mac says a tipster tells them that the 8GB iPhone and 8GB iPod Touch will be phased out from the line.

This has to be one of the coolest apps we've seen for the iPhone. iAno is a newly released iPhone application that turns your iPHone into a piano. As you can see in the video, iAno provides a multi-touch piano that you can really play (sorta). It has a four-octave keyboard that can play 5 notes at the same time. The keyboard is navigated with arrow keys above the keyboard.
iAno was devloped by a developer going by the name of Mr Aardvark. Very cool!

iPhone users provide 50 times more search requests to Google than any other mobile handset. In fact, according to a report at Wired, Google had to double-check the numbers because they were so good.
Google's head of mobile operations told the Financial Times, "we thought it was a mistake and made our engineers check the logs again."

engadget says it has some insiders at AT&T that swear we're going to see the 16GB iPhone very soon, even though the wireless inventory shows none in stock. It's about time. According to a report from Brighthand, 27% of the iPhones sold last year are unlocked and running on a provider other than AT&T. Brighthand says that according to Bernstein Research analyst Toni Sacconaghi, approximately 1 million of the smartphones sold by Apple in the U.S. last year were bought by people who haven't signed up for an AT&T plan.

Land Rover's LRX Concept has something very interesting -- iPhone integration. As you can see in the picture the Land Rover has a slot for the iPhone to be docked.
