Apple in talks to provide free unlimited iTunes

According to a report in the Financial Times, Apple is in discussions with some large music companies about a deal that would give customers free access to the entire iTunes library. Customers would pay a premium for iPods and iPhones to get the unlimted service. The "all you can eat" model seems to follow Nokia’s "comes with music" deal that they made with Universal Music last year. In another sad turn of events for the standard brick and mortar stores, Sharper Image has filed for Bankruptcy protection. After several years of declining sales they are finally packing it in. According to a recent report on 9to5mac, Apple is planning to drop the prices of the iPhone and iPod Touch by $100 within the next 2 months. Turn your iPhone into a piano with iAno

This has to be one of the coolest apps we've seen for the iPhone. iAno is a newly released iPhone application that turns your iPHone into a piano. As you can see in the video, iAno provides a multi-touch piano that you can really play (sorta). It has a four-octave keyboard that can play 5 notes at the same time. iPhone users provide 50 times more search requests to Google than any other mobile handset. In fact, according to a report at Wired, Google had to double-check the numbers because they were so good. engadget says it has some insiders at AT&T that swear we're going to see the 16GB iPhone very soon, even though the wireless inventory shows none in stock. It's about time. iPhones unlocked at rate of 27%

According to a report from Brighthand, 27% of the iPhones sold last year are unlocked and running on a provider other than AT&T. Brighthand says that according to Bernstein Research analyst Toni Sacconaghi, approximately 1 million of the smartphones sold by Apple in the U.S. last year were bought by people who haven't signed up for an AT&T plan. Continental to offer in-flight Wi-Fi

Continental Airlines today announced that it has entered into an agreement with LiveTV, L.L.C. (LiveTV) that will allow Continental to offer 36 channels of live, inflight satellite-based television programming provided by DIRECTV(R), at every seat on Continental's new generation aircraft.
